The Young Women’s Giving Council is important to me because I have seen first hand the effect that the Council can have on women and girls in Chicago. There are so many ways to give to so many organizations around the globe, but it’s important to also think locally and to give locally, so we can see change right here at home.

On the grantmaking committee, we give out grants to small, local organizations committed to helping women and girls. Organizations that focus on political activism, reproductive justice, and promoting leadership in young girls. All dollars to these organizations truly make an impact and a difference in the scale of their impact.

As I enter my golden year (29!), please consider donating to the Young Women’s Giving Council, so we can impact the lives of young women and the ground level and in our own neighborhoods.
