Katrina Phidd

Katrina Phidd is an organizer and activist, serving as the communications director at Chicago Votes. She began organizing around issues of educational inequity and inclusive curriculums. Since moving to Chicago, she has focused her organizing on dismantling systems of incarceration and building a more inclusive democracy. She received a B.A. in sociology from DePaul University in 2020. Immediately after graduating, she joined Chicago Votes as a communications associate, pairing her sociology training with on-the-job communications training. Since then, she has organized and facilitated press conferences, run electoral and legislative campaigns, and been published in Blavity and The TRIIBE, among others.
