Ivy S. Ellis is the Executive Director of the Northwest Home Equity Assurance Program (NWHEAP). In her role, Ivy brings together over 9 of Chicago’s 77 neighbors under the umbrella of Neighborhood Stabilization.

Before joining NWHEAP, Ivy worked for several public housing agencies in Illinois as well as Housing Partnership Network Select (HPN Select). At HPN Select, she was the central region business development director. In this role, Ivy was responsible for building the regional business by engaging shareholders and other affordable housing agencies. Before HPN Select, she worked as an Occupancy Manager, where she managed the implementation of project-based vouchers conversion in a mixed-income senior building in Carol Stream, IL. She has also worked as a Program Coordinator for Cook County Housing Authority, where she specialized in special programs such as Homeownership and Family Self Sufficiency.

Ivy sits on several nonprofit boards as well as volunteers her time tutoring literacy and providing low-cost groceries to the underserved in the Chicagoland area.

She is a graduate of Spelman College and holds an MBA from Roosevelt University.
