The North Shore Giving Circle of Chicago Foundation for Women (NSGC) is a group of Chicago-area women who combine their funds to address the needs of women and girls in the northern suburbs. By leveraging the power of collective gifts, our grants create meaningful impact and improve lives.

Since 2014 NSGC has granted over $470,000 to local organizations
in the northern Cook County and Lake County!

NSGC is a place for women to:

Engage - Be a part of a community of women that addresses needs and increases opportunities for women and girls in the region. Help a woman, help a family. Help a girl, empower the next generation.

Learn - Meet local leaders who work every day to improve the lives of women and girls. Hear interesting speakers and visit innovative organizations in our area. Learn how to be a philanthropic leader by becoming a member of the Chicago Foundation for Women community.

Be Inspired - Advancing the status of women and girls advances us all. Be a witness to lives changed for the better.  NSGC offers the opportunity for hands-on, collaborative philanthropy.

We are a community of women in the northern suburbs. Each member donates a minimum of between $1,000 and $3,000 annually and participates in the grantmaking process to the degree that works best for them. Through this collective giving model, members pool their resources to award grants to organizations committed to gender and racial equity in northern Cook County and Lake County.

This grant cycle, 2021-2022, the Circle is led by Co-Chairs, Stephanie Oettinger and Stephanie Szymanski
