Women artists have been marginalized for centuries, unable to showcase their work and tell Herstory. As we well know, who tells Herstory is of paramount importance.

According to the Global Art Market Report 2019 (Art Base/UBS), of the 3,050 galleries in the Artsy database, 10% represent not one, single woman artist, while only 8% represent more women than men. Almost half represent 25% or fewer women.

Join us virtuallyas we review several of the portraits that are part of the exhibit, Women Picturing Women at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College and discuss key themes that emerged when selecting only images of women by female artists
